The opening of an exhibition is always the best part

The exhibition opened... ...and the opening is always the best part.  Then there are the days of emptiness ! (There are two YouTube videos of one part of the exhibition, Video 1 and Video 2 .)

Potential Visitors Passing By

After the opening of an exhibition I've done enough exhibitions to know that much of the time is spent watching people walking passed the entrance.

The Museum Of Bad Art (MOBA) has no abstract works

Image
The Museum Of Bad Art (MOBA) has no abstract works. Could this be because it is impossible to tell if an abstract work is any good or not?  The abstract artist makes you "work hard", and after you have worked hard the only thing which remains are meaningless words like dirty dust in your mouth. You start coughing in unbelief.

I'm beginning to see ghosts

I'm beginning to see ghosts. Not often, only sometimes. They usually appear during the day. A man or woman standing nearby listing to the conversation I'm having with a human or animal. They are like standing up shadows, or dark slowly moving sculptures. I turn to look and they are gone. They are neither menacing nor friendly, just slightly disquieting.  Years ago I heard a doctor talking about an oldish woman who kept seeing the Manchester United football team in her kitchen. She asked the doctor if she was going mad. He knew she had problems with her eyes, and knew she was sane  and intelligent, and so gave this explanation: "The brain, when not getting all the data it needs, will invent things, dragging from memory images which might possibly fit the poor data from old eyes and/or in poorly lit rooms." So it is an interesting phenomenon, and that is all. (But who are they, and what do they want with me?)

Malicious Guiding Rainbows

I had a trick for falling asleep when I woke at 2:30 am as I often do. I would set myself a destination and would, in my imagination , drive from my place to a friends house, or a shop or where I work.  So I'd pass the green grassy area where dog walkers went, then under the railway bridge in Canegrate, passed Marylin's Bar, down the hill towards San Vittore Olona. I usually fell asleep before I got to my destination. For a few months it worked, and then I noticed rainbows appearing in the middle of the road. Longways, as if guiding me. Pretty things, but unreal. A month or so after the rainbows came colorful flat irregular polygons floating around and inside the buildings I'd been using as markers. Like huge panes of colored glass rotating in space, o hovering above gardens. Sometimes like ghosts they could enter into the buildings as if they were just a strange sort of light. These polygons did not seem less friendly. And now I wonder if the guiding rainbows were really m
